The separators are produced in conjunction with Austrian manufacturers Freylit who provide 21 years of experience and expertise world-wide. The oil/water separators are also known as 'Enhanced Gravity Separators' because they speed up the natural process of oil/water separation.
The separator unit is built into a concrete tank which provides sufficient area for silt settlement and oil removal. The sizes on these tanks are dependant on the flow rate and hydrocarbon level on each specific site. (see table) Each system is fitted with a unique automatic shut off which will prevent contamination during a large oil spill.
